Deena Romoff – Discrimination

“I’ve never really been threatened.”

I’ve never really been threatened. For a long time people were scared about coming out, because of the violence, because you’d lose your job. I don’t know if I’ve always been at the right place at the right time, but I’ve never really had a negative experience. You know, coming out as a Jew, coming out as a lesbian, coming out as a feminist, coming out as unmarried, coming out as a hippie. Whatever it is, I just chose to not be fearful about that.
