Diane Lantz – HIV/AIDS

“I had had a blood transfusion.”

[At Signatures restaurant] they actually did an AIDS test for anyone who wanted to participate. I had had a blood transfusion. My son was really freaked out about it; he insisted that I go down and be tested. So, Marge and I both went down and got tested.

[Around 1985 is] when our two best friends got involved [in AIDS activism and] started doing the benefits. At Christmastime they had a group of people that made AIDS ornaments [with a pink ribbon inside of a clear ball. The money from the sale of the ornaments] all went to SAN.
