Christopher Lawrence – Silence/Passing

“90 percent of our community is non-visible.”

[In Spokane] 90 percent of our community is non-visible. They can complain about [gay visibility] all they want, because the whole point is if enough of us show our visibility, [straight people] see how many, and how different, we each are. And when they start seeing that, it starts breaking down barriers for everyone. We can’t reach all of them that are my age, or all of them that are adults. But we can get most of them who are growing up.
